Sandy Toes

$300.00

My least favorite part of a beach day was going to the car and getting the sand off our legs and feet. There were rarely water spigots available, so we would always pack a couple jugs of water to rinse legs and toes with. When the water ran out (which was usually the case), my dad would resort to briskly bushing the sand off with a towel.  I’m guessing it was effective, but the sticky saltwater acted like glue and made the sand stick relentlessly to our skin, and the movement of the towel felt like sandpaper!

Soon, the fuss was over, and we’d be bobbling along in the van, damp and gritty, tired and hungry, quiet and content; ready for a feast of ice water and 59 cent soft tacos at Taco Bell!
