When I look at this painting, I can see the urgency and focus in the baby's eyes! I remember how desperate my babies would get right before feeding, as if I couldn't get my shirt up and bra opened up fast enough! Clearly, they knew what was coming. They behaved as though the half-hearted, whimpering reminders would help move it along faster. As soon as the boob was ready, they'd be all over it like white on rice; going from this pathetic, dying creature to a ravenous beast going in for the kill!
